--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are thrilled to announce the MUMSCLICK Mothers in Business Competition which opens today.

The Mothers in Business competition is the first in a series of initiatives that we are launching to support mums who work. MUMSCLICK is very much about us as mothers supporting each other. We are passionate about like-minded women having the opportunity to connect, network and resource information to enhance their lives, their family lives and, if they work, their working lives.

MUMSCLICK Mothers in Business is a great way for us to help mum-owned businesses get exposure through advertising. It will also create an interactive forum for you to share your business experience with other mums so we can all learn from each other.

So what's it all about? Well, we know how critical marketing is for the success of any business and that this is one aspect that MUMSCLICK can help you with.

So, if you own a business (no matter how small) you can enter our competition and this is what you could win:

1. Free advertising for your business on the MUMSCLICK front page for 3 months in the form of an ad (you will need to provide artwork in the appropriate format) which rotates with the other winners.
2. Exposure in our newsletter.
3. Editorial on you and your business with links to your business website and the ability for MUMSCLICK members to contact you regarding your business via the MUMSCLICK website.

To enter you need to:
1. Be a mum
2. Be based in the UK
3. Run your own business (no matter how small - from providing a service, to selling a product) either on your own or with other mums (at this stage the competition is only open to businesses that are 100% mum-owned)
4. Be registered on MUMSCLICK
5. Be prepared to have your business 'story' published in MUMSCLICK

To enter send us an email to mothersinbusiness@mumsclick.com with the following information:

Please write as much as you can as the more information you give us about yourself, your business and the cahllenges and good times you have faced the easier it is for us to select a winner.

1. Your full name
2. Your contact details - address, email and telephone number
3. Your MUMSCLICK user name
4. Your business name
5. Your business contact details
6. Your Business story including (but not limited to) answering the following questions:
a. What your business is about (what are the products/services you offer)
b. When you set up your business
c. What the major challenges were that you faced when setting it up and what advice would you give to deal with these
d. The highs and lows of running your business
e. Tips and advice from your experience that would help other mums

Don't delay - email mothersinbusiness@mumsclick.com today.

You will be notified by email if your business is chosen. If your business is not selected it will stay as an entrant in the draw for the following month.

MUMSCLICK reserves the right not to enter businesses it believes are offensive or not in line with the philosophy of our website. MUMSCLICK reserves the right to select any business as a winner.

Hi Dee - the competition could very well expand beyond the UK at some stage but our initial focus is on mums in the UK. It's so great to see people like you who have chosen a career path they love - well done for taking that step, it couldn't have been and easy decision. Look forward to seeing you on the site soon.

Hi Mumsclick, could you please take a look at www.babeecard.com and see if I would be eligible to enter? Run by myself and my business partner who is male but is a father of two young children.

Hi GemmaJaye. Thanks for your question. For this first round it is for 100% mum-owned but we have had quite a few queries (mainly from mums who run businesses with their husbands) so will be looking at this over the next month.

I only just joined today and spotted this competition. I would have loved to enter as I run a magazine for working mums as a franchise owner and I have two small children, both pre-school age. Is there going to be another competition soon?
