Turkey Burgers with Apricot and Ginger

Recipe story

A good, low-fat burger that is great for the summer and is quick and easy to make.

The Ingredients

  • 125g dried apricots, finely chopped
  • zest of 1 orange + 1tbsp juice
  • 2.5cm piece of root giner, peeled and grated
  • 500g turkey breast mince
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • Handful of sage leaves, chopped

The Method

Mix together apriocts, grated ginger, orange zest & juice and leave for 5 mins for flavours to mix.

Mix together turkey mince, onion & sage. Add in the apricot mixture. Season with salt and pepper.

Shape into 4 burgers and leave in fridge for approx. 20 mins.

Brush the burgers with oil and cook either on grill or BBQ. Good with toasted pitta bread, salad and a spoonful of natural yogurt.
