Salmon & Creme Fraiche
Recipe story
This recipe came about when I was feeling bored with just smoked salmon and brown bread as a starter! To spice the dish up a bit, I added a few extra ingredients which although simple make such a difference.
The Ingredients
- smoked salmon slices (depending on how many you are catering for)
- Tub of creme fraiche
- A selection of green/red chillies (again depending on how many you are serving)
- Fresh lemon
The Method
1. Place the salmon on a large serving platter
2. Slice the chillies very (and I mean very!) finely. You are looking for just a hint of heat from the chillies not a burning mouth sensation
3. Sprinkle a good selection of chilli over the salmon
4. Add small dollops of creme fraiche over the salmon
5. Serve with fresh lemon (and the brown bread if you want to!!)
